AXA XL has promoted Mike Gazzard to the role of Senior Vice President and E&O Product Line Leader of its Bermuda Insurance Professional Lines Team.
Within this role he will report to Matthew Irvine, AXA XL’s Bermuda Professional Lines Chief Underwriting Officer.
Gazzard, who has been with AXA XL since 2019, previously served as a Vice President and Senior Underwriter. Within his new role he will be responsible for managing and setting the Bermuda Professional Lines Team’s Errors & Omissions insurance portfolio strategy.
At the same time, he has underwriting authority for multiple professional lines products including Directors and Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL) and Wage & Hour (W&H).
Gazzard’s underwriting career spans over eight years, where he has primarily been focusing on Fortune 1000 companies and professional service firms.
Prior to joining AXA XL, Gazzard was a Professional Liability underwriter at Liberty Specialty Markets. During this role. he was involved in the underwriting of UK and US E&O and D&O business.
