AXA XL Risk Consulting appoints Global Casualty Risk Engineering Leader

AXA XL Risk Consulting has announced the appointment of Sheri Wilbanks as Global Casualty & Environmental Lines of Business Manager.

Wilbanks joins the business from AIG, where she most recently served as Global Innovation Lead for AIG’s Client Risk Solutions division.

Prior to that position, she served as Casualty and Financial Lines Regional Risk Consulting Manager for AIG Asia.

Going forward, Wilbanks will be responsible for building a global Casualty & Environmental Risk Consulting practice to provide risk management services for clients and AXA XL’s underwriting teams.

Based in New York, she will report to Corinne Vitrac, Chief Executive of AXA XL Risk Consulting.

Vitrac commented: “We are very excited to welcome seasoned risk engineering talent like Sheri. Under Sheri’s leadership, we will develop new service offerings that can help our clients with loss prevention strategies to control their workers compensation, product liability, environmental and other operational exposures.”

A chemical engineer by training, Wilbanks also brings extensive experience in the healthcare industry, where she began her career as a research and development engineer.

As part of her new role, Wilbanks will join the AXA XL Risk Consulting’s Management Committee, which is led by Vitrac.

Also included on the committee are: Jonathan Salter, Property Line of Business Manager and Deputy CEO; Jean-Marc Radureau, Construction, Marine, Transport Lines of Business Manager; Martin Vinkenflügel, Regional Manager for Europe; Scott Ewing, Regional Manager for US; Krishnan Venkatraman, Regional Manager for Asia; Maxime Ambourg, Innovation & Business Development Manager; Brenda Holbrook, Head of IT system and Central Processing; and Karim Karzazi, Head of Technical office.
