The London Market Group (LMG) has today announced the addition of Sean McGovern to its board, replacing Sinéad Browne, who recently served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) UK.
McGovern was recently confirmed as the permanent CEO UK & Lloyd’s market at AXA XL, having assumed the position on a temporary basis for a number of months.
He joined XL Group back in 2016 and during his time with the re/insurer has led the claims, legal & compliance and regulatory & government affairs functions.
Commenting on McGovern’s appointment to the LMG board, Chairman, Matthew Moore, commented: “We are pleased that Sean is joining the board. His many years of experience in Lloyd’s and the wider London Market will be a valuable addition to our thinking as we support the different communities within the insurance ecosystem and think about how the market develops in a post COVID world.
