AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, a Bermuda-based global insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Austin Su as Head of Alternative Risk, North America.
In his new role, Su will lead the development and execution of AXIS’ alternative risk and structured casualty strategy across North America.
He will report to Anna Tan, Head of Wholesale Casualty, North America, and focus on building and scaling the company’s alternative risk transfer platform, delivering innovative solutions for complex customer needs, and advancing AXIS’ capabilities in this growing segment.
Su brings more than 25 years of international leadership and underwriting experience in Property & Casualty insurance, spanning multiple product lines, roles, and geographies, with strong expertise in information technology.
He joins AXIS from AXA XL, where he most recently served as Head of Structured Risk Solutions, Americas.
Prior to that, he spent two decades at AIG, where he held senior leadership roles across the US and Asia Pacific, including leading fronting and captive management businesses and underwriting complex structured transactions.
