AXIS Insurance, the insurance business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has appointed Paul Cullum to the newly created role of Head of Business Development for AXIS Insurance International Division.
He will now be responsible for delivering a comprehensive approach to product distribution in the London market and at Lloyd’s, including the deployment of cross-class solutions in certain lines of business.
Cullum has 35 years’ re/insurance industry experience and joined AXIS in 2010, serving for seven years as the company’s Head of London MGA.
Previously, Cullum also served as Head of Open Market Underwriting at Markel International, and has held a variety of underwriting and broking roles in both specialty insurance and reinsurance at Sedgwick Forbes, Copenhagen Re (UK), Euclidian Lloyd’s Syndicate 1243, Cooper Gay and Bowring Marsh.
In his new role, Cullum will continue to be based in London, and will report to Edward Ashby, Global Head of Distribution and Marketing for AXIS Insurance,.
