AXIS Capital Holdings has announced that AXIS Insurance Company has secured a four-year contract to provide specialty accident and health (A&H) insurance solutions to governmental, educational, and non-profit businesses across North America through a US-wide purchasing program, operated by Sourcewell.
AXIS, in partnership with Provident Agency, Inc., will offer a wide variety of A&H coverages through the cooperative purchasing program.
Sourcewell is a self-sustaining government organization that offers a cooperative purchasing program with hundreds of
competitively solicited contracts.
A key factor to note, is that by utilizing Sourcewell contracts, participating businesses can save valuable time and money by capturing the buying power of more than 50,000 organizations.
From what we understand, the specialty A&H products that AXIS now provides via the program include accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, and cancer insurance, tailored to meet the needs of different customer groups.
These customer groups include: employees within public entities, law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical services, schools, municipal roles, and the volunteer sector.
James Hamilton, Global Head of Accident and Health at AXIS, commented: “We take great pride in being awarded this contract and look forward to working with Provident and Sourcewell to provide specialty insurance solutions for participating organizations.
“Through our experience over many years in developing specialty products for distinct customer groups, we have a deep appreciation of the often-complex nature of the risks and challenges within these sectors. Our goal is to provide products and access to services that make a meaningful difference to these groups.”
Daren K. D’Ippolito, Provident CEO, said: “Provident has been a leader in providing customized accident and health insurance programs for public entity employees. We have developed a strong relationship over several years with the AXIS A&H team, and we appreciate the keen focus on the needs of the customer that the team brings. We’re excited to put our experience and relationship with AXIS to work for the people and organizations that support our local communities.”
