AXIS Re, the reinsurance arm of Bermuda domiciled AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has named Munich Re’s Michelle Glass as a Senior Underwriter within its North America Casualty division, effective February 1st, 2021.
Glass joins the firm from Munich Re where she most recently served as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Casualty Team lead.
Prior to her more than 20 years with the German reinsurer, she held underwriting roles at American International Group, Interstate International Group, and Crum and Foster with a focus on Casualty in the North American market.

Additionally, AXIS Re has revealed that the internal transfer of Halina Herc to the AXIS Re North America Casualty team as a Senior Underwriter, from the AXIS Re Regional & Multi-line team, also took effect on February 1st.
Since joining the reinsurer in 2002, Herc has held numerous underwriting roles. Prior to AXIS, she held underwriting roles at Everest Re and Converium in the North American property, casualty and multi-line spaces.
