DEVK RE, the reinsurance subsidiary of German insurer DEVK Sach- und HUK-Versicherungsverein has announced the promotion of Beatrix Grimm to Executive Vice President & Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Grimm has worked at DEVK Re for more than two decades, having joined the company in 2001 as a Reinsurance Underwriter.
She later became a Head of Department in 2009 and then was promoted to a Director in 2015, with all roles based out of the reinsurer’s headquarters in Cologne.
Prior to DEVK Re, she spent two years also as a Reinsurance Underwriter at Zurich Insurance, and before this as an Assistant Underwriter and then Assistant Claims Manager at Gen Re.
DEVK Re’s core business is reinsurance in various classes and types of insurance throughout Europe, the USA and Canada. This includes property and casualty insurance as well as life insurance.
