Beazley, a large specialist insurer, has appointed Sundeep Khera as Head of Marine, effective April 21st, 2026, reporting to Tim Turner, Group Head of Marine, Accident & Political (MAP) Risks.
In his new role as part of the MAP Risks team, Khera will lead the Marine, Energy, Aviation, and Space teams.
He is a London market veteran and brings three decades of experience in the marine sector to Beazley.
Most recently, Khera served as the Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Marine Hull & War for AXA XL, the property and casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, and Head of Marine and Energy UK & Lloyd’s.
During his tenure, he led the development of innovative products, including the market’s first carbon credit solution for marine hull.
Before working in the insurance sector, Khera, a qualified Master Mariner, held senior roles at Emirates Shipping Line across shipping operations, stowage planning, commercial and general management.
