Beazley appoints Harry Goh, Jessica Schappell to Singapore office

Specialist re/insurer Beazley has announced the appointments of Harry Goh and Jessica Schappell to its Singapore office, effective January 2019.

Beazley logoGoh brings over 20 years’ experience in underwriting professional indemnity and medical malpractice risks in Singapore and joins as an Underwriter of international financial lines.

He will be responsible for underwriting a range of product lines including directors and officers, professional indemnity, financial institutions, medical malpractice and cyber.

Goh previously held senior positions at a range of carriers and brokers in Singapore. His last role was at ERGO Insurance where he developed the company’s financial lines business, as well as being responsible for casualty business and account handling for international brokers.

Schappell will be responsible for managing financial lines claims for Asia Pacific. She is relocating from Beazley’s New York office, where she has worked since January 2007 in specialty lines claims.

She initially managed cyber claims and has, more recently, managed complex claims on Beazley’s miscellaneous medical, hospital and long-term care portfolios.

Prior to joining Beazley, Schappell was a claims analyst for AIG in New York.

“Their depth of experience in risk and claims will help us to further develop our offering in Asia Pacific.”
