Specialist re/insurer Beazley has supported its growth ambitions in Continental Europe with the appointment of Andreas Bergler to the newly created position of Head of Broker Relations for the region.
Bergler will now be responsible for developing Beazley’s pan-European broker relationship network and managing its distribution strategy.
He will report to Will Roscoe, Head of Broker Relations UK & Europe, who commented: “European growth is a strategic priority for us, particularly for our international specialty lines business.
“Andreas’ appointment will allow us to develop new relationships with brokers and build on existing ones as we continue to expand our offering in the region.”
Bergler has been with Beazley for 10 years, during which time he has effectively led its treaty team in Munich and supported the development of the company’s presence in Germany.
He began his career as an underwriter at Munich Re, before becoming a senior underwriter at New Re and then a broker at Aon Benfield.
