Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSI), a division of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, has announced three leadership appointments in Madrid, including Diego Espinosa as head of property, Juan Madrid as head of casualty, and Tomás Blas as head of technical lines.
Espinosa joins with over a decade of experience from RSA Spain, where he most recently served as property development leader, property lead underwriter.
Madrid brings more than 35 years of industry experience, most recently as Liabilities Manager at Chubb Iberia. Prior to that he spent 14 years in casualty underwriting at AIG Europe.
Blas most recently served as regional head of engineering lines, Mediterranean region at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. He joins with 15 years’ experience.
