Independent specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has appointed Jason Stone as Managing Director, BMS Canada Private Equity, M&A division.
Effective immediately, Stone will report to Brian Gomes, President & CEO of BMS Canada, and will be based in Toronto.
He will lead the Canadian Private Equity and M&A team and focus on expanding BMS’s global private equity and M&A platform.
Stone joins from Aon, where he most recently served as senior vice president at the M&A and Transaction Solutions team.
Prior to Aon, Stone was a financial lines underwriter at Everest Reinsurance.
“BMS Canada has long been well-recognised for our specialist insurance structures and risk management services,” said Gomes.
“Jason’s expertise in transaction solutions will be a valuable addition to the team and we welcome him to BMS.”
