Independent specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has appointed Tan Pawar as managing director of its new Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions and Tax Insurance division.
Pawar reports to Ian Gormley, managing director of BMS Global Risks.
He brings over 13 years’ M&A and legal experience and has also held various senior positions at Paragon International Insurance Brokers Ltd and Willis Ltd.
In his new role at BMS, Pawar will lead the multi-disciplinary team designing insurance solutions for cross-border and special situation M&A transactions.
“BMS launched this division last December and we have since been in contact with a number of current and potential clients,” said Gormley.
“The conversations we have had over the past few months help us further understand the increasing market demand for customised M&A insurance products, particularly in the current situation.
“We are therefore pleased to welcome Tan and to accelerate our development in private equity, M&A and tax related insurance business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Pawar said, “I’m very excited to join BMS and to help our clients manage their strategic objectives under the current market conditions.
