Specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, BMS Group, has announced the addition of Amy Fu from Lloyd’s Asia to the management team dedicated to building and developing the firm’s new operations in Asia.
The establishment of BMS Group’s new Asia operations remain subject to regulatory approvals.
In her new role, Fu will be based in Singapore and she joins the re/insurance brokerage from Lloyd’s Asia, where she served as Market Development Manager since 2017. Before Lloyd’s, she worked as a marine underwriter for six years at MGA Pioneer.
Fu’s re/insurance industry career started with Swiss Re, having joined as a graduate trainee in 2007 and with placements in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo, before working as a marine underwriter in London from 2008 to 2011.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BMS, Nick Cook, commented: “BMS is growing at pace. With the backing of our capital partners BCI and PCP, we are consolidating our position as the independent broker of choice across a number of territories and platforms.

This appointment follows that of Sandra Lee in June, who joined BMS from Aon as the Head of its operations in Asia.
