American International Group, Inc., a global insurance and financial services organisation providing property and casualty insurance, life and retirement solutions, and a wide range of commercial and personal insurance products, has appointed Brannigan Ong as Head of Reinsurance, Accident & Health.
In this role, Ong will oversee the Accident & Health reinsurance portfolio, contributing to the company’s underwriting and reinsurance strategy across the region.
Ong joins AIG after a three-year period with Everest Group. During his time there, he held positions as Senior Accident & Health Underwriter for Asia and earlier as Accident & Health Underwriter, where he was involved in regional underwriting activities and client servicing across the Accident & Health portfolio.
Prior to Everest, Ong worked at PWS Global Risks, a reinsurance broking firm based in Singapore, where he supported casualty, financial lines and Accident & Health placements. His earlier experience also includes a role at RKH Specialty, an insurance and reinsurance broker, where he worked across casualty, financial lines, and Accident & Health business.
His career has been largely centred on underwriting and broking within the Accident & Health and specialty insurance markets across Asia, with experience spanning client advisory, risk placement and portfolio development.
