Brit adds AIG’s Douglas Ruhlman as cyber AVP

Global specialty re/insurer Brit has appointed Douglas Ruhlman to serve as assistant vice president of cyber for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU).

Douglas RuhlmanRuhlman will join BGSU’s cyber & technology team and reports to Jeff Norton, Senior Vice President, Cyber Liability.

He will work closely with Norton to support the underwriting and growth of Brit’s US cyber portfolio.

Ruhlman joins from AIG having served as a commercial underwriter of financial lines with a focus on large cyber accounts.

“Cyber is an important growth area for Brit, both globally and here in the US, and I am encouraged by the outstanding team we have built to support this expansion,” said Nick Davies, President, Brit Americas

“In the last few months we have made a number of strong hires while also launching our e-trading portal for cyber risks. Together, this is a demonstration of our focus on combining underwriting expertise with service excellence.”
