FinComm, the Lloyd’s Market Association’s Finance Committee, has announced the appointment of Mark Allan as Chairman.
FinComm leads on financial issues and requirements that impact Lloyd’s of London managing agents and syndicates, and also monitors key financial topics and their expected impact.
At the same time, FinComm liaises with Lloyd’s senior management on issues that affect the specialist insurance and reinsurance marketplace that require practitioner input.
Allan is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Brit, and succeeds Liberty’s John Dunn as Chairman of FinComm. Hermien Smeets-Flier, CFO of Aegis London, has been named Deputy Chair, replacing Beazley’s Martin Bride.
Allan, commented: “I am delighted to accept the role of chairman of the Finance Committee, whose work across multiple issues affecting the market is invaluable to LMA members. I look forward to leading the important work of the Committee.”
