Burns & Wilcox adds Michelle Clark to leadership team in Colorado

Burns & Wilcox, the North American wholesale insurance broker and underwriting manager, has appointed Michelle Clark as Managing Director, based in Denver, Colorado.

Burns & WilcoxShe joins the company from RT Specialty, where she most recently served as an Executive Vice President and Broker, managing multi-million dollar books of business.

Clark has spent more than 25 years in the re/insurance industry, and has experience managing teams across various product specialties, including Commercial and Professional Insurance.

In her new role, Clark will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Burns & Wilcox team in Denver, while leading the office’s growth strategy.

She will report to Harvey Goldenberg, Executive Vice President, Managing Director at Burns & Wilcox, who oversees the Western Region, and work closely with the Denver office’s newly appointed Associate Managing Director, Felicia Armstrong.

“Michelle is a strong addition to Burns & Wilcox leadership, given her reputation of outstanding client service and developing and leading high-producing underwriting and brokerage teams,” said Goldenberg.

“Burns & Wilcox has been operating out of Denver for more than 30 years and is known for its diverse and well-balanced portfolio, ranging from Construction and Product Liability to Property and Professional Liability,” he continued.

“Michelle’s brokerage background and experience writing large accounts blends well with the existing talent we have in the office.”

Clark also commented: “I look forward to utilizing my diverse skills and deep expertise of risk analysis, business development and program management to support and grow the Burns & Wilcox Denver office.”

She added: “The Denver team is known for being a market leader in Personal Insurance, Cannabis risks and various classes of Property and I look forward to carrying the reputation forward while identifying additional business growth opportunities.”
