Global specialty lines re/insurer Canopius has announced the appointment of John Shaw as Construction and Engineering Underwriter.
Shaw joins Canopius from QBE, where he has served since 2014, most recently as Construction Underwriting Manager for Northern Australia.

Canopius underwrites direct engineering and construction risks from its offices in London and Singapore, focusing in particular on infrastructure, buildings, power generation and petrochemical construction via its London offices.
The company is also a founding member of the Construction Consortium at Lloyd’s (CCAL), which, with a capacity of US $212.5 million, is by far the largest Lloyd’s capacity available for the construction and engineering sector.
