Carbon hires Turner from Chubb as Property Underwriter

Carbon Underwriting Limited (Carbon), the specialist, independent managing general underwriter  (MGU) and Lloyd’s syndicate has announced the appointment of Claire Turner, who will join the company as a Property Underwriter.

Carbon UnderwritingTurner joins Carbon after working for 25 years at global insurer Chubb. Her most recent position at the company was underwriting international property binders.

Within her new role, Turner will focus on helping to expand Carbon’s existing property book of business as well as new business development.

Addressing her new job role, Turner said: “It is an extremely exciting time to be joining Carbon and I am looking forward to bringing my extensive underwriting experience, insights and strong network of market contacts to help accelerate the business’s growth ambitions.

Turner’s appointment is the latest in a series for new hires for Carbon as the company looks to continue transforming the international cover holder market by bringing in exceptional new talent to the business while embracing cutting-edge technology, centred around its bespoke insurtech ecosystem, Graphene – to deliver superior underwriting outcomes for its business partners.
