Carpenter Marsh Fac, Marsh and Guy Carpenter’s Latin American facultative reinsurance intermediary, has announced the appointment of Carlos Rivera as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), based in Bogota, Colombia.
In his new role, Rivera will report to Dean Klisura, President, Global Placement and Advisory Services, Marsh and Ricardo Brockmann, CEO of Marsh Latin America and the Caribbean.
Rivera will have a focus on the development of the firm’s market-leading capabilities and will be tasked with expanding Carpenter Marsh Fac’s insurance market relationships.
He’s been with insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh for almost two decades and has held leadership roles in the UK and in a number of countries in Latin America. Most recently, he served as Placement Leader for Latin America and the Caribbean, where he was responsible for managing the business’s placement capabilities across the region.
Marsh has also revealed that Paula Lopes will succeed Rivera as Placement Leader for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Sao Paulo. In this role, Lopes will report to Klisura and Brockmann. She joined the firm in 2008 and has held numerous senior roles, most recently serving as Placement Leader for Brazil.
