Catalina Re, the reinsurance arm of Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance run-off and legacy specialist, Catalina Holdings, has appointed Tom Duggan as Senior Investment Manager.
Duggan joined Catalina Re in January, 2021 from his role as Senior Vice President (SVP), Manager Research, at investment consultancy Redington.
During his time with Redington, which commenced in November of 2017, Duggan provided institutional clients with advice on investments into asset classes that commonly had either liquidity and structural complexity as a feature.
Within this remit, he had a particular focus on reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS), advising investor clients on the asset class and reinsurance market and how to best access its returns.
Prior to Redington, he served as a research analyst at alternative investments specialist Absolute Return Partners LLP.
