The Channel Syndicate 2015 at Lloyd’s has named Nick Bennison as new Class Underwriter of its Environmental Impairment Liability (“EIL”) division with immediate effect.
Bennison is an environmental liability specialist with over 16 years of experience in the sector and nearly 30 years insurance industry experience.
“The appointment of Nick is indicative of our philosophy and approach for the EIL division. We have now assembled a level of expertise and experience which is unparalleled in this market. This is a clear differentiator for our offering,” Tom Corfield, Active Underwriter at Channel, said.
The Channel said demand for bespoke cover is growing and clients are increasingly seeking innovative products which recognise and evolve with their environmental exposures.
“Nick is a renowned expert in this class and has developed a level of wordings expertise which is second to none. He will be an invaluable asset to the team as we further our position and reputation in the EIL market.”
Bennison most recently worked for Marsh for 11 years after joining the firm in 2006 and heading up its UK environmental practice which provides specialist environmental broking and risk advice to all Marsh divisions both nationally and internationally.
