Christopher O’Connor has been appointed Head of Professional Liability and Cyber, North America at AIG.
As Reinsurance News understands, this is an internal promotion, with O’Connor having been with AIG for over 15 years.
He joined AIG in November 2010 as an Underwriting Analyst, before going on to lead AIG’s Financial Institution Cyber business.
Most recently, he served as North America Head of Corporate Accounts for AIG’s Professional Liability and Cyber Insurance.
He is based in the New York area and will report to Justin Gilmore, Head of Financial Lines, North America at AIG, who commented, “Chris has built his career at AIG through a series of underwriting and leadership roles. Most recently, he served as North American Head of Corporate Accounts for Professional Liability and Cyber Insurance, and previously led Financial Institution Cyber, where he worked closely with many of our largest Financial Institution clients.
“With deep expertise across the Professional Liability and Cyber business, a strong understanding of complex client needs, and a proven track record of leadership, Chris is well positioned to lead the organisation into its next chapter.”
