Global insurer and reinsurer Chubb has announced the appointments of Bill Hazelton and Megan Watt to its North America claims leadership team as the firm looks to better address the complex litigation landscape.
Hazelton, who joined Chubb in 2005, has been named Head of Chubb North America Claims. In this role, he will take oversight of the strategy for all aspects of the firm’s commercial and personal lines claims operations.
He will report to Mike Smith, Chubb’s Global Claims Officer and will be based in Jersey. Throughout his time with Chubb, Hazelton has held numerous positions, most recently serving as Chubb’s Environmental, Excess Casualty and Construction Industry Practice Leader.
Watt has been appointed to a newly created role as Head of North America Complex Claims, which sees her lead a team designed to compliment the re/insurer’s underwriters and business partners. She will report to Hazelton and remain based in Basking Ridge, N.J. Watt brings almost three decades of insurance and leadership experience to the new role.
