Global P&C insurer Chubb has appointed Benoit Chasseguet as Country President for France. Subject to regulatory approval, the appointment is effective immediately.
Chasseguet, who currently serves as Regional Marine Manager for Continental Europe – a role he has held since 2013 – succeeds Veronique Brionne who has decided to leave the company.
In his new role as Country President for France, Chasseguet will be responsible for Chubb’s property and casualty, accident and health, and consumer lines operations across the country.
Additionally, Chasseguet will continue to be based Paris and he will report to Sara Mitchell, Division President for Chubb in Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
Before he joined Chubb, Chasseguet spent six years of service at Achmea as a Non Life Senior Regional Manager.
Prior to that role, he spent more than 10 years working at EurAPco as Senior Marine Manager, having joined from Cigna where he spent eight years as a Marine Underwriter.

Benoit brings more than 30 years of industry experience as well as a deep knowledge of Chubb. He is highly respected both within Chubb and also the wider industry for his expertise and I am looking forward to working with Benoit and to see the French business continue to grow,” commented Mitchell.

Chasseguet’s appointment follows on from the recent promotion of Frances O’Brien, who Chubb named Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, as Sean Ringstead moves on to a new role as Chief Digital Business Officer.
