Global insurer Chubb has announced that Hilda Toh has succeeded Mark Roberts as Property and Casualty (P&C) Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa (UKISA), effective immediately.
In her new role, Toh will be based in London; taking over from Roberts who was recently appointed Division President for UKISA.
Toh previously served as UKISA Financial Lines Manager. As P&C CUO for UKISA, she will oversee the strategy for all P&C product lines in the region, working alongside the segment leaders.
Additionally, Toh will be tasked with setting product guidelines and takes on technical oversight for product development, while working to develop underwriting-related business intelligence and ensuring that the firm’s underwriting guidelines are followed. All P&C product line leaders in UKISA will report to Toh.
She brings more than two decades of insurance industry experience to the role, having joined Chubb Canada in 1998 before moving to London in 2004. Toh has held numerous management roles at the insurer, including Chubb Canada Financial Institutions Fidelity Manager, European Zone Underwriting Specialist and UKI Financial Lines Operations Manager.
