AXIS Capital Holdings Limited has appointed global re/insurer Chubb’s Tony Jordan as its new Group Chief Actuary, reporting to Peter Vogt, AXIS Capital’s Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Based in the firm’s London office, Jordan will be responsible for overseeing AXIS Capital’s corporate actuarial function, which includes reserving functions, capital modelling and investment risk.
Furthermore, his new role will include the integration of information, insights and analytics from across his functional responsibilities, providing guidance to the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer’s business units. He will also oversee the company’s Group Reserve Committee.
He joins after spending more than ten years with re/insurer Chubb, where he was most recently Chief Actuary, Europe, Eurasia and Africa. Prior to this, he was Chief Actuary and Senior Vice President, Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited for five years, and he also spent a decade with re/insurance broker Aon, rising to the position of Practice Leader – Actuarial & Risk Financing, Aon Risk.
