Independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker, BMS Group Limited, has announced that Simon Kemp has been appointed Group Chief Legal Counsel, effective November 1st 2018.
He joins from global law firm Clyde & Co, where he is partner, and will be based in London, reporting to BMS Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nick Cook.
He has practiced in the London market for more than 30 years, and after joining BMS Group, he will continue to work at Clyde & Co part-time as a consultant. Kemp has a specialist focus on coverage disputes with an international element, regulatory issues for businesses and individuals, and also employment law.
Cook, commented on the appointment: “As BMS continues on a path of strategic growth and attracts talent in both established and emerging markets, the expertise and experience of individuals such as Simon becomes invaluable.
