Consilium builds out Delegated Risk Solutions division

Consilium, the globally specialty re/insurance broking business of the Aventum Group, has added Toby Gorman and Matt Taylor as partner and associate partner, respectively, to the company’s delegated risk solutions division.

consilium-logo-newBoth of these appointments come with strong connections in Lloyds and other markets, in addition to strong relationships in the managing general agent (MGA) and cover holder space.

Gorman who brings 25 years of experience in the industry, joins from Arrow Risk Management, where he was Underwriting Practice Leader for Property Binders.

Additionally, he also spent three years as the Unit Head for Axis Capital, where he led a team of underwriters for North America delegated binding authority business.

Prior to that, he spent 19 years of service at Novae as Unit Head, leading its US and Canada delegated authority business.

Meanwhile, Taylor who brings 26 years of experience, joins from Chesterfield Group, where he served as a broker for seven years, He also previously spent 14 years as a broker with Corrie Bauckham Batts.

In February, it was reported that Consilium, had launched a dedicated Specialty Treaty Reinsurance division, led by Paul Cousins and Matt Webb as Partners.
