CRC names Kristyn Smallcombe Casualty Practice Group Director

CRC Group, a wholesale specialty insurance distributor in North America, has appointed Kristyn Smallcombe as Casualty Practice Group Director, within the Commercial Solutions Division.

crc-group-logoBased in Chicago, Smallcombe will start her new role on January 24, and will report to Bob Greenebaum, the Division’s National Casualty Practice Group Leader. In her new position she will be supporting the CRC Casualty team on a nationwide basis.

With over two decades of industry experience, she joins CRC Group from Argo Group US, where she was SVP, Argo Construction Practice Leader for almost two years.

Prior to that she spent almost three years at Swiss Re. In 202 she was appointed SVP, Global Head of Construction – Casualty & Professional Lines, after she joined the company in 2018 as SVP, Head of Construction North America.

Smallcombe has also held a number senior Casualty positions at AIG/Lexington, where she spent over 16 years of her career.

CRC Group is making a significant investment in its Casualty Practice to better serve its clients and provide greater support to brokers and underwriters, Brennan noted.

He added: “We are working to launch new exclusive casualty products under our Insurisk brand later this year. We are also enhancing our REDY platform to bring greater efficiency and reliable data and analytics support to our casualty team.”
