Cunningham Lindsey has announced the appointment of David Waller as Environmental Specialist Practice Group Leader, set to lead a team of global experts providing specialist adjusting, consultancy and guidance in all types and sizes of environmental losses.
In his new role, David will focus on driving the firm’s expertise and capability in handling complex environmental claims.
As an industry veteran with 34 years experience he’s worked within the loss adjusting industry and boasts 15 years experience in dealing almost exclusively with major environmental claims.
His team will provide guidance on environmental losses including pollution to property, land, water (inland or off-shore) and habitats and species.
The team will also add value to Cunningham Lindsey Major and Complex Loss teams in managing and mitigating pollution aspects of incidents such as major fire losses where there are significant pollution or waste disposal challenges.

Lindsey qualified as a Chartered Loss Adjuster and has carried out assignments in the UK, France, Italy and Panama, handling investigations and resolutions of complex, multi-party, national and international environmental claims.
He started his insurance career in 1984 and was responsible for establishing the first dedicated environmental adjusting unit in the UK market as well as acting as an expert witness for major insurance brokers and the UK environmental regulator.
