Descartes Underwriting, an insurtech company specializing in corporate insurance solutions to address climate and emerging risks, has announced the appointment of Brendan Beeg as Business Development Manager for North America.
Based in Denver, Colorado, Beeg’s responsibilities will include all aspects of sales and distribution management, as well as strategy for brokers and clients in the North America region.
He previously worked at Aon where he held the position of Account Specialist in the Honolulu, Hawaii office.
Prior to Aon, Beeg held various roles in business development and product development for Tokio Marine Group companies in North America.
Last month, Descartes revealed that it had successfully raised $120 million in a Series B funding round led by growth equity firm Highland Europe alongside international investment company Eurazeo.
The company plans to use this latest investment to scale up its approach to corporate and public entity risk exposures, while growing its technology platform and expanding into new lines of business and targeting larger deals.
