DWF strengthens insurance practice with appointment of new Partner

Multinational law firm DWF has announced the appointment of an experienced Insurance Partner Iftikhar Ali to its London office where he will specialise in construction, power and engineering claims. Ali joins from Simmons & Simmons after two years leading its construction all risks practice.

Iftikhar AliAli has operated as a specialist international disputes lawyer for over a decade and regularly advises on a wide range of claims in relation to major property, construction and engineering projects domestically and worldwide, including Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa.

Specialising in liability, cover and comparative law he will provide international indemnity expertise to construction, engineering and energy professionals from the DWF’s London office

Commenting on the appointment, Kieran Walshe, Practice Group Partner, Professional Indemnity and Commercial Insurance at DWF, said, “Iftikhar brings a breadth of expertise on managing coverage and liability claims all around the world and will provide a particular strength in construction market and sector expertise when working alongside our UAE and Latin America offices.
