Ed has announced the appointment of Heather Clarkson, who joins from a role as Chief Broking Officer of Marine and Head of Hull at Aon Risk Solutions, to Managing Director of Marine with effect from 2nd January 2018.
Clarkson boasts over three decades of insurance experience, including having served on a member of Aon’s Global and London Marine executive committees.
She began her career with Marsh, where she served for over 20 years in the Montreal and London offices.
In her new role she will report to Andrew Draycott, Chief Executive Officer of Energy, Marine & Construction, who welcomed Clarkson to her new role; “Heather is a highly respected expert in the marine market and the ideal candidate to realise our ambitions in this sector. Her appointment is also a further indication of the calibre of individual that is now attracted to our business. Heather has built her reputation on market knowledge and exceptional client service. She has consistently sought to lead by example and to drive innovation and improve processes. I am delighted to welcome her to the team.”
