Ed’s Kirk Chesley leaves to join Capacity Place

Wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker firm Ed is losing Kirk Chesley, executive vice president, who is leaving to take up a new position as broking director of Capacity Place.

HandshakeChesley announced the news on Linkedin, stating that he had started in his new position nthis month after nearly twelve years at Ed.

Chesley wrote: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Broking Director at Capacity Place!”

Chesley joined Ed in October as divisional director, becoming executive vice president in July 2019. Before that, he held several roles at AJ Gallagher, Tysers, and Thomson Heath & Bond.

Capacity Place launched in June 2020. It targets MGAs, program administrators, insurtechs, management teams, wholesale brokers, binder brokers insurers, and Lloyd’s underwriters for transacting binders, prior submit facilities, line slips and master policies.
