Emma Loynes has been named as the new Country Manager for Lloyd’s in Singapore and will also become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lloyd’s Asia, effective May 1st, subject to regulatory approval.
Loynes takes over as CEO of Lloyd’s Asia from Mark Dyson, who has held the role on an interim basis since mid-January following the departure of Thomas Haddrill.
She brings 25 years of experience to the role, and currently serves as Head of Market Development Transformation at Lloyd’s, having joined the marketplace in 2018.
Earlier in her career, Loynes held senior leadership roles at RSA Insurance, including Commercial Operations Director and Head of Commercial Schemes.
Commenting on the appointment of Loynes on LinkedIn, Dyson said: “I’ve covered this role in addition to the regional day job for the past few months and while it is a demanding role with a lot of challenges, I can say there is also a lot of fun to be had and a truly excellent team to work with.
“I and the rest of the local and regional team based in Singapore are very much looking forward to welcoming Emma to the team!”
