Euler Hermes announces Board of Management changes

Euler Hermes Group has announced a number of changes to its Board of Management, including the appointment of a new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and new Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Euler Hermes logoChantal Schumacher has been appointed Group CFO as of today, and also as a member of the Group Board of Management, effective April 1st, 2018.  She replaces Clarisse Kopff, who is leaving the firm to take on the role of CFO at Allianz France.

Schumacher joined Allianz in 1999, holding a number of positions, before serving as Head of Planning and Controlling at Allianz Global Risks. She then led the Global Planning & Performance department at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) for nine years. In 2016, she was appointed CFO at Allianz Re.

Michael Eitelwein has been named Group COO as of today, and also as a member of the Group Board of Management, effective April 1st, 2018. He replaces Ludovic Sénécaut who will be leaving the firm to pursue new challenges outside of the company.

Eitelwein has a wealth of industry experience, and spent more than eight years with Allianz. Most recently, he served as Head of Group Enterprise Architecture, where he led the introduction of digital technologies such as blockchain, big data, AI, and IoT solutions for both commercial and consumer business.

The company has also announced that Michele Pignotti’s responsibilities as member of the Group Board of Management in charge of Market Management, will also include Commercial & Distribution activities, effective April 1st, 2018, following the retirement of Paul Overeem on March 31st, 2018.

Furthermore, Virginie Fauvel, who was appointed Chief Transformation Officer as of January 15th, 2018, will become a member of the Group Board of Management in charge of the Americas region, effective April 1st, 2018.
