Everest Group, Ltd., a global specialty insurance and reinsurance leader, has announced the appointment of Craig Hanrahan as Global Distribution & Chief Commercial Officer, effective August 1, 2026.
In his new role, Hanrahan will lead Everest’s global distribution strategy and key commercial relationships across its re/insurance businesses. He will work closely with business leaders to advance Everest’s commitment to delivering exceptional service, underwriting expertise and long-term value to clients and brokers worldwide.
He will continue to report directly to Jim Williamson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Everest, and serve as a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Hanrahan joined Everest in 2024 as Northeast Regional Executive Officer and also served as Head of North America Field Operations, where he led the company’s four U.S. retail regions and strengthened underwriting, service, claims and distribution capabilities nationwide.
Most recently, he served as Head of U.S. Retail Insurance, leading Everest’s U.S. Retail Insurance portfolio, spanning Commercial Property, Casualty, Financial Lines and Industry Practice solutions.
Prior to joining Everest, Hanrahan spent 14 years at Chubb and also held roles at Marsh and AIG earlier in his career.
