Everest Insurance, a division of Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re, has announced the addition of Joanne Suarez and Mary Rimbey to its E&S Casualty group, based in the company’s Chicago office.
Suarez has joined the E&S Excess Casualty group as a Director with responsibility for underwriting excess casualty business over a range of industries.
She most recently served as an Assistant Vice President at BXM Insurance Services, Inc., focused on underwriting excess casualty, before which she worked HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. and C.V. Starr & Company of California, Inc.
Rimbey, meanwhile, has joined the E&S Primary Casualty group as a Manager with responsibility for underwriting primary lines E&S business, dealing with complex and unusual risks outside of the standard market.
Previously, Rimbey was Senior Underwriter at Zurich North America, working within their wholesale division, before which she worked at Navigators as an excess underwriter for wholesale casualty.
“As our E&S Casualty group continues to expand its footprint we are excited to add these two talented individuals to our Chicago office,” said Eric Koppang, Head of E&S Casualty at Everest Insurance.
