Everest Insurance, a division of Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re, has announced the addition of two new members to its growing Retail Excess Casualty team.
Firstly, Erin Bouren has been appointed to lead the team’s Western Territory as Vice President, based in the Everest Insurance San Francisco office.
She joins the company from Conifer Holdings, Inc., where she most recently served as Vice President of Underwriting.
Bouren has more than 17 years’ industry experience and has previously held underwriting roles at Ironshore, Arch Insurance Group, and Berkshire Hathaway.
Meanwhile, Mike Ludy has been appointed as a Director on the Excess Casualty team, based in the Everest Insurance Chicago office.
Prior to his appointment, Ludy was Assistant Vice President for Excess Casualty at Aspen Insurance, before which he spent time as a senior underwriter at both Chubb and Canopius Group, and as a broker at Arlington/Roe & Co.
“We are excited to have Erin and Mike join the Excess Casualty team,” said Debbie Weiser, Head of Excess Casualty. “Their combined experience in their respective regions, and significant industry knowledge, will be valuable assets to the team.”
Connie Germano, Head of Specialty Casualty, also commented on the appointments: “Erin and Mike are two key hires in the Central and West territories as we work to expand the retail capabilities and resources of our Excess Casualty team.”
“Their proven underwriting expertise and deep client relationships will support our expansive nationwide retail casualty footprint,” she added.
