Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group, Ltd. has announced the appointment of Jonathan M. Zaffino as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Everest Insurance Division, effective immediately.
Zaffino joined Everest Re in 2015 and most recently served as President of the North America Insurance Division. In his new role as President and CEO of the company’s Insurance unit, Zaffino will assume responsibility for planning and executing on the company’s international insurance division’s business strategies.
Furthermore, he will be responsible for the oversight of the firm’s newly created Everest Insurance Company of Ireland and the Everest Lloyd’s Syndicate operations.
