Global reinsurer Everest Re has named Luke Armitage and Emma Gairdner as newly appointed senior underwriters, within the firm’s London team.
Armitage joins Everest Re’s London office as Senior Underwriter for Motor business, after having spent 10 years with Hiscox Insurance as Head of Actuarial Pricing, and bringing a total 25 years of industry experience to the role.
Emma Gairdner will be joining Everest Re from Tokio Marine Kiln as Senior Underwriter of Accident & Health business. She has spent 15 years with Tokio Marine Kiln in a similar capacity.
Andrew Carrier, Head of Everest Re’s European Operations, welcomed the underwriters to their new roles; “We are excited to have Luke and Emma join the Everest team. Both have the calibre and pedigree to bring Everest’s London reinsurance platform to the next level.”
