Everest Re names Catherine Rudow as Global Head of Cyber Reinsurance

The reinsurance division of Bermuda-based carrier Everest Re Group, Ltd., Everest Reinsurance, has appointed Catherine Rudow to the newly created role of Global Head of Cyber Reinsurance.

catherine-rudow-everest-reRudow assumes responsibility for strategically expanding the company’s cyber reinsurance business, driving consistent underwriting best practices and guidelines across the division.

She will also be tasked with cultivating new and existing broker and customer relationships and working to establish customised solutions that keep pace with the evolving cyber risk landscape.

In her new role, Rudow will report to Jill Beggs, Head of North America Reinsurance, who commented: “Catherine’s depth of experience and specialized expertise will be valuable assets to Everest as we continue to strategically and thoughtfully deploy more capacity where it is needed most.”

Rudow has extensive insurance and reinsurance cyber underwriting experience, as well as expertise managing cyber portfolios, developing and executing on cyber-specific strategies, and establishing industry-wide connections.

She most recently served as a Vice President for Nationwide E&S where she executed on a Cyber Strategy for Nationwide Enterprise. Previously, Rudow held numerous leadership roles at Partner Reinsurance Company of the US.
