Geoff Piggot has been named as the new CEO of Crawford & Company’s Global Technical Services division, having left his role at Berkshire Hathaway owned reinsurer Gen Re, where he headed up reinsurance claims as a senior vice president.
Piggot will be based in London and report to Crawford’s International Operations CEO Ian Muress
In the CEO of GTS role Piggot will lead a workforce of several hundred adjusters, engineers and forensic accountants, many of whom are dual-qualified and he will be tasked with increasing global GTS revenue and expanding its range of services.

“Geoff’s impeccable credentials include being a former board director at one of the world’s largest global reinsurance corporations, where he has carried out claims leadership roles for 18 years. He has extensive experience supporting global property, marine and facultative reinsurance claims functions and, as such, can provide a unique customer perspective our clients will appreciate.”
Crawford GTS serves reinsurance firms, the corporate market, insurers’ major loss or catastrophe divisions, and London Market re/insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates, offering them a unified major loss handling service.

Piggot replaces Mike Reeves who had been with Crawford for 40 years.
