Few to lead TigerRisk’s UK, EMEA and Asia expansion

James Few has left re/insurer MS Amlin to join reinsurance broker TigerRisk Partners LLC as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its London office, reporting to President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Rob Bredahl.

James FewThe global brokerage states that Few, a global strategist and product innovator, will lead expansion in the UK, EMEA and Asia.

He joins from MS Amlin, where he served as Global Managing Director of Reinsurance and led the modernisation of the firm’s international reinsurance business, developed pricing and product innovations, and extended partnerships with third-party capital.

Few previously served as CEO of Bermudian Aspen and also as President of the firm’s reinsurance arm, Aspen Re. While at Aspen Re, Few played an important role in the development of innovations such as APEX cat management technology; Iris Re, the firm’s first managed fund; and the creation of Aspen’s global reinsurance strategy.

Bredahl commented: “James Few is a proven leader within the reinsurance industry. He played a key role in the development of Aspen Re, created a range of innovative ILS structures, was chairman of the RAA… the list goes on. In short, he is at the cutting edge of modern risk transfer and is ideally qualified to help grow TigerRisk into the industry’s leading broker/advisor.”
