Flood Re has announced Andy Bord, formerly CEO at Capita Insurance Services, as interim CEO.
Having previously worked for Capita, Staysure, BGL Group and Vodafone UK Bord, Flood Re said Bord’s appointment would bring; “significant experience in high-profile, consumer-facing businesses.”
Mark Hoban, Chairman of Flood Re, commented; “Andy has a strong knowledge of the insurance sector and he has worked as both a permanent and an interim Chief Executive.
“Flood Re has so far helped tens of thousands of people get access to affordable flood insurance but there is still more to do.
“His strong consumer background and experience of working in complex regulated environments will be particularly helpful as we continue our efforts to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from the Scheme.”
Bord will join the reinsurance firm’s team on January 23 and will remain in the position until the summer, when a full-time Chief Executive is expected to move into the role.
Bord’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
