Global insurance broker Gallagher has announced a number of changes within its Public Sector & Education (PS&E) leadership team in order to best meet shifting client demand.
Gallagher has revealed that Peter Mason, Executive Director of PS&E, will take on the additional responsibilities of leading a major new strategic initiative designed to develop a range of risk financing solutions that best match the risk appetite of clients.
Mason will be tasked with exploring options from both conventional and emerging insurance markets in order to complement the traditional programme structure that many clients value. Gallagher states that this will promote a more collaborative approach to risk financing in the space, which in turn will produce greater efficiency savings for the sector while maintaining coverage levels.
The firm has also announced the promotion of Mark Sangster to Executive Director, PS&E (North), which reflects his success as Client Director based in Manchester. He brings two decades of insurance industry experience to the role and has worked for Gallagher for the last 16 years.
Furthermore, Guy Stonier has joined the PS&E team as a Client Director, having previously served as Deputy Head of Office in the firm’s Sheffield branch.

Guy’s promotion to Client Director in the North reinforces that strategy.
