Gallagher Re, the global reinsurance broking and advisory firm, has added Scott Fest as an Executive Vice President (EVP) to its team in Tampa, Florida.

The role will see him focus predominantly on SE property carriers, with additional expertise in Workers Comp and Auto carriers, Gallagher Re said.
Fest joins the broker from Florida-based primary insurer FedNat, where he has served as Vice President of Reinsurance for the past six years.
During this time, he also held the position of President at Century Risk Insurance Services.
Fest brings extensive experience in property and casualty insurance, having held senior positions at a variety of re/insurers across multiple lines of business.
Previous roles include a two-year stint at New Paradigm Underwriters, where Fest worked first as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations, and then as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
He has also held SVP positions at insurtech firm Carrier and Technology Solutions, Guy Carpenter, John B. Collins Associates, and Benfield Group.
He began his 30-year insurance career at E.W. Blanch Company in Minneapolis, where he remained for 10 years and eventually served as Vice President, before moving on to Benfield.
“We’re thrilled Scott has chosen to join Gallagher Re,” said Adam Schwebach, Executive Vice President – Tampa branch manager. “His extensive and diverse experience gives him an unparalleled level of expertise that will be hugely valuable to our clients as we prepare to help them navigate the complexities, demands and opportunities of the current market.”
Fest added he is “happy” to be taking up his new EVP role at Gallagher Re and is “excited about working with a number of old colleagues and meeting many new ones.”
